Winged Victory Of Samothrace Sculpture Candle

Regular price $30

The Winged Victory of Samothrace is one of the rare Greek statues whose exact original location is known. It was made as an offering to the gods for a sanctuary on the Greek island of Samothrace. Placed at a height, people could see her from afar. The Winged Victory of Samothrace, also known as the Nike of Samothrace, was created in about 190 BC and discovered in 1863 in Samothrace, a Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea. The sculpture stood on the prow of a ship.

These candles look elegant on fireplace mantels, dining room tables, nightstands, and other surfaces, whether you choose to light them or keep them as decorative accents. Make perfect bookends too!

How do you burn sculptural candles: When lighting your sculptural candle, place it on a heatproof dish or plate (relative to its size) that will hold any melted wax. Trim your wicks before each burn to ensure an even, consistent burn. If the flame gets too high, extinguish it, let the candle cool then trim the wick & relight.

Soy wax blend and a cotton wick.
